Love is Love

— When the National Orgainization for marriage came out with this statement many people were annoyed and upset. including me. because a few people get together and say hey were NOM and then say something so stupid as this it makes me upset. Who are you to decied what the word ‘marriage’ means? If your argument is that gays shouldnt marry because children should grow up with a mom and a dad or else theyll be “messed up” then you obviously live under a rock. i grew up without a father and i believe i turned out okay. just because i child grows up without one parent or the other doesnt mean theyll become messed up. there will always be that male or female in their life that is like a mother/father figure even if its just a friend or their grandfather. saying that gays dont have the right to redefine the word marriage for everyone is like blacks dont have the right to fight for equality. a stupid statement. if you dont like gay marriage dont marry a gay person.
